Hair extensions are a cosmetic procedure and should only be applied to healthy hair. Hair must be at least 5cm in length to ensure, comfortable, discreet attachments. There are some medical conditions that may make a some clients unsuitable for extensions. Suitability is discussed during a consultation – these are always free and there is no obligation to book in.
-
This will depend on the method and look you are aiming for and consequently how many extensions it will take to achieve this look. On average a full head takes between 2-3 hours. We will give you an exact time on your consultation.
-
This will depend on which method you choose. All methods will need removing and re-fitting when natural hair growth has reached maximum length. Please look at our methods for time frames for each method.
-
All our extensions are custom made for you. We will take great care to get the perfect colour match, blending in a range of both highlights and lowlights (if required), so your extensions have exactly the same depth and reflectiveness as any natural head of human hair. All this makes your extensions truly undetectable from your natural hair. We will make sure that the bonds are placed discreetly in your hair, so you will be able to tie your hair up the same as you would normally.
-
Yes this is a very effective way of adding highlights, lowlights or even flashes of colour. Without the need of using harsh chemicals and damaging your natural hair.

Individually bonded extensions can be affected by hot climates, we advise our clients to avoid direct sunlight, salt water and chlorine pools. However if the ends of your hair get wet, thats fine, just rinse through with fresh water. But please try to keep the root of your hair dry, leaving them damp can cause the bonds to break down. We also ask clients with blonde extensions to understand that in hot climates your extensions will crave moisture and will absorb from anything it has contact with, so refrain from using fake tans, tinted oils/moisturisers, even tinted perfume. As this can stain the ends of your extensions. If this does happen, it will wash out over time, and purple shampoos can be used to speed the process up (but avoid the bonds).
-
If the right method, hair type and length is applied and they are fitted and removed by an experienced technician, followed by the correct aftercare and maintenance then there will be no damage to your natural hair. Our clients all comment on how their natural hair grows so much whist their extensions are in.

- Always brush through your hair extensions dry before washing
- Wash your extensions carefully always keeping your head straight
- Gently massage the correct shampoo through your scalp, making sure the shampoo foams, add more water if needed.
- Rinse shampoo out thoroughly, leaving any excess shampoo on scalp can cause itching.
- Apply a deep conditioning treatment to ends and mid lengths, leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse out.
-
Hair extensions should never be left to dry naturally, if moisture is left on bonds this can cause the bonds to soften and break down early. Also due to the rubbing on the root area when washing, stray hairs can get caught, these will need to be brushed thoroughly when drying. Please follow these steps:
- After washing hair, wrap hair in towel and leave for 5-10 minutes, to soak out excess water.
- Apply heat defence on mid lengths and ends to protect hair.
- Use a hair dryer on medium heat setting (never hot)
- Rough dry your hair till it feels completely dry. ( even when extensions feel dry, they will still be holding moisture)
- Section hair into small sections.
- Brush hair starting from ends, hold hair at top to prevent any pulling.
- Using your hair extension brush to brush through bonds whilst drying with hair dryer, when hair extensions are completely dry they will feel as soft as silk and as light as a feather.
- Please pay extra attention when brushing and drying the bonds, make sure your hair brush touches your scalp and goes through the bonds.
-
Your hair extensions are 100% human so can be curled, straightened exactly like your natural hair. But make sure you avoid the attachment bonds.
-
We do advise clients to tie their hair in a plait or ponytail when sleeping, this will prevent any matting as a result of movement in your sleep.
-
Hair extension are no longer attached to the scalp, this is why they are called dead hair. Because of this reason your hair extensions will need you to take care of them, by adding oil daily to ends and using conditioning treatments to ends as your natural hair would get this from your scalp. We advise clients not to colour their hair extensions if possible. We have a wide range of colours so I’m sure we will find your perfect colour match. With this being said, the hair is of the highest quality and we have many clients that colour their hair extensions with no issues. If you need to colour your extensions we would recommend doing a strand test first. As hair extensions will lift a lot faster than your natural hair.
-
You or your stylist may definitely colour your own hair, just colour the area of hair that has been left out to cover your hair extensions, being careful to avoid the bonds.
-
You may loose a few extensions here and there. This is normally due to your natural hair shedding. Our natural hair sheds on average 200 strands of hair a day. If too many natural hairs shed where an extension is attached then the extension will slide out, this is nothing to worry about and on maintenance appointments we can fill in any lost strands.
